Tennis Coaching Staff at Forestville Tennis Centre

Tim has been playing tennis from the day he was old enough to hold a racquet, and has a passion for all levels of the sport, be it playing, coaching or watching, and is committed to ensuring all players develop and reach their full potential in the sport.

Currently in his 14th year of coaching, Tim has worked with players from all levels of the game, from the very beginner to the full time player, and currently works with several junior tournament level players.

Tim believes that tennis is a great sport for people of all ages, not just for the exercise, but for the challenge, the learning of new skills, the experience and the social interaction it provides all players. Tim is dedicated to ensure all students learn something new, enjoy their on-court experiences, and set goals for what they want to achieve from the sport, and in doing so, work hard with each student to meet these goals.

I started to play tennis at the age of 6 on my local clay courts in Italy. As my tennis progressed I started playing many competitions and tournaments all around Italy and Europe. From a young age I have worked hard to achieve my goals as a player. Through my developing years I made many great friendships, which I still have to this day and I did all this while keeping physically and mentally active whilst having lots of fun doing what I love, playing tennis.

My expertise (majoring in Psychology) helping other players during practice and in matches and my passion for tennis motivated me to start a coaching career. In 2006 during my College career due to major injury I had to give up singles play. It was during this time that I became an Assistant Coach at Brigham Young University, Utah in the highly competitive American College National Collegiate Athletes Association program. I had a desire to share my experience and skills with other players. Upon graduating in Psychology and terminating my College tennis experience in the States I moved back to Australia. I have now been coaching full time for the past 8 years all ages and levels.
At this stage I’m studying to become a registered Sport Psychologist as well as coaching full time and am looking forward to opening my own Sport Psychology practice very soon. I have been part of the Forestville Tennis Centre Team for 4 year now and I am very happy to continue my senior coaching position within the team as we share the same intense passion for the sport.
I would highly recommend this great game to everybody and I will do my best to help you pursue your goals as a tennis player, whatever they may be.

I was introduced to tennis when I first started school at the age of 5 and my love of the game has grown ever since.I played competitively all around NSW for over 6 years right up to my HSC year, then transitioned into coaching. Tennis has always been a fun and challenging sport for me, I have made many life long friends and built a great deal of character. I started coaching because I want players to experience the fun I had growing up playing tennis. So as a coach I am focused on making sure players learn and progress as much as possible while having a good time. I think coaching players between 5-12 is where I have had the most experience and best results, developing them through the hotshot’s system. Tennis is such a great sport as there is something for everyone, whether you are playing competitively or socially you will definitely enjoy yourself and learn a great skill in the process.
