Looking for players for RED BALL competition in term 1 - 2018! 

Running for 1 hour, from 4:30-5:30pm, the competition will be a good building block for the younger kids aged 6-9; players will play in timed matches supervised by a junior coach.

The comp will help kids learn scoring, as well as rules and etiquette of the game. It is fundamental for kids to familiarize themselves with match play from a young age and gain experience for future competitions.

 Red Ball:

  • When: TBA - 4:30-5:30pm 
    • Cost: $90 per player (8 week comp, 10% discount when combined with a class. 20% discount when combined with 2 classes. (Pick-up and supervision available before & after school).
    • Starting date: Feb 2018.

Wednesday afternoons will be the stage for our Orange Ball Competition. Running from to 3:30 to for 1 hour, this entry level comp will be used as a lead up event for our representative Northern Suburbs Tennis Association (NSTA) teams (Green and Yellow balls) 

Competition match play is such an important part of a player’s development, the experience is invaluable and gives the player a chance to use what they are learning in lessons to grow and build their skill base.

Congratulations to Anna and Patrick for winning NSTA Div 7 Green Ball - term 2. 

 

The NSTA Sunday Morning Competition is a large competition, with around 400 players per term, run at Tennis Centres all over the Northern Suburbs of Sydney, in a home and away style format.

Competition is usually an 8 week round robin, with finals held on the last week.

Players graded in the B4 Divisions and below use the Green Tennis Ball, and players graded B3 and above use the Yellow Tennis Ball.

The format is 2 player teams, 4 matches (Doubles 1, Singles 1, Singles 2, Doubles 2), scored as sets with a tie break at 5 games all.

Some of the best players in the Northern Suburbs started their tennis in this competition!
